About The Position

As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in harnessing behavioral data collected from various platforms (web, mobile web, mobile apps, tablets, and connected TV) to convert them into advertising data solutions and actionable insights. You will work closely with data scientists, big data developers, and product managers, to create innovative solutions for advertising clients and apply solutions to optimize their campaigns. Please note, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in Canada and can work in a Hybrid model at our Oakville location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field (preferably focused on data mining or machine learning).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, MapReduce, and other Big Data languages and processing frameworks.
  • Proven experience designing and coding data pipelines in Python.
  • Solid understanding of statistical and predictive modeling, machine learning approaches, and data pattern identification.
  • Accomplished in the use of data analysis and machine learning packages such as pandas, Jupyter, and TensorFlow.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Can work in a Hybrid model at our Oakville location.

Nice To Haves

  • GCP knowledge is a plus.
  • Ad-tech knowledge is a big plus.
  • Prior knowledge of the advertising domain and its technology stack.

Responsibilities

  • Work extensively with analytics systems such as BigQuery, Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Spark, and Apache Airflow.
  • Utilize hybrid cloud-based infrastructure (GCP knowledge is a plus) to collect and process massive volumes of data.
  • Create robust data processing pipelines to generate audience segments and integrate them with various DMP and DSP systems (ad-tech knowledge is a big plus!).
  • Brainstorm and create powerful visualizations that make data accessible and understandable.
  • Evaluate database solutions and help define the architecture and design of data delivery systems.
  • Contribute to development best practices, experiment with new ideas, and collaborate across teams to take key products from concept to production.
