About The Position

The Data Coordinator is instrumental in maintaining the integrity and compliance of data necessary for state and federal reporting. This role encompasses the comprehensive organization of student information systems and active support for district-wide strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressively increasing experience in the complete software development life cycle.

  • B.S. or B.A. in computer science, math, economics, engineering or other technical field required.

  • Technical experience with JCampus is highly preferred.
  • Master’s Degree
  • Technical experience with JCampus, or other SIS, is required
  • Proficiency in SQL or equivalent database technologies is highly desirable
  • Experience with Secure File Transfer Program (SFTP) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintains sponsor site and calendars in JCampus.
  • Performs roll over of students, calendars and sponsor sites.
  • Provide development, maintenance, and support of interfaces between district software as needed.
  • Provide imports of Student Test Scores to SIS or District Data Warehouse as needed
  • Provide exports of information from any district software as needed for Federal, State, District, and School reporting.
  • Develop reports and deliverables for management.
  • Lead implementation of the Dashboard solution to support achievement of district vision.
  • Maintains data uploads and upholds data quality standards to ensure accurate reporting for various state and federal systems, including EdLink 360, eScholar, SUN-Bucks, and Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC).
  • Executes yearly Student Information System (SIS) rollovers, encompassing calendars, sponsor sites, bell schedules, student records, and district mapping systems.
  • Manages and maintains SIS data, including cross-functional operations, such as address validation, enrollment audits, student merges, custom and out-of-zone coding, ancillary student programs, Community Eligibility Provisions (CEP), family income surveys, PreK funding, and summer programs.
  • Leads the resolution of SIS errors by collaborating with the SIS provider (EDgear) to request database updates and provides essential troubleshooting support to school and central office personnel.
  • Processes internal and external data requests as designated.
  • Oversees the upload of local and state student test scores into the SIS.
  • Completes Direct Certification for students eligible for free lunch programs, including SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid.
  • Coordinates with third-party vendors for data acquisition, processing, and integration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Data Management.
