About The Position

The PNOC Data Coordinator will perform independently or with general direction to support the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium (PNOC) Operations Office in the development, management, standardization, annotation, and quality control of clinical research datasets. Working under the direction of PNOC Operations Leadership, the incumbent will support data management and data quality activates across multiple PNOC studies and research initiatives. The position will focus on the development of high-quality, analysis-ready research datasets by reviewing and annotating existing clinical datasets, identifying and resolving inconsistencies, standardizing variables and data definitions across studies, and performing ongoing quality control of newly collected data. The incumbent may work with PNOC study teams and other research personnel to clarify data definitions, investigate discrepancies, and support consistent data collection and interpretation across studies. The incumbent's duties may include, but will not be limited to: creating, cleaning, annotating, updating, and maintaining comprehensive clinical research datasets; harmonizing variables and data structures across existing PNOC datasets; developing and maintaining data dictionaries and documentation; reviewing incoming study data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy; identifying missing, conflicting, or potentially erroneous data; performing data review as needed; tracking and resolving data queries; implementing quality control procedures; documenting data-cleaning and harmonization decisions; supporting the development of standardized approaches to data collection across PNOC studies; and preparing datasets for downstream research and analysis. The incumbent may interface with PNOC investigators, clinical research coordinators, project managers, data managers, and other study personnel to resolve data questions and ensure appropriate interpretation and documentation of clinical research data. The incumbent will be expected to work independently on assigned data projects while communicating regularly with PNOC Operations leadership regarding progress, outstanding questions, and data quality concerns.
