About The Position

Are you detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about keeping information accurate and organized? Join us as a Data Coordinator and help ensure Boise Co-op’s product, pricing, and inventory data stays clean, consistent, and reliable across all systems. This role supports Category Management, Store Operations, Marketing, and eCommerce by ensuring data drives better purchasing decisions, pricing accuracy, promotions, and customer experiences. This position blends hands-on data work with strategic impact. While data entry and maintenance are part of the role, we’re looking for someone who can think critically, identify inefficiencies, and help improve processes. As we continue to automate repetitive tasks, this role will evolve toward reporting, analysis, and workflow optimization. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow their technical and analytical skillset.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, filtering, and analyzing data.
  • Experience with databases such as Microsoft Access or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Catapult WebOffice or comparable platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, process-improvement mindset.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Self-starter attitude with curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • 1–3 years of experience working with data in a business or retail environment (a strong analytical mindset is more important than years of experience).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office required.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills required (ability to write queries, filter, and analyze data).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data cleanup, reporting, automation, or process improvement is preferred (even personal projects count).
  • Retail or grocery experience and familiarity with item management or POS systems is a plus.
  • Exposure to tools such as Power Query, VBA, or basic scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate item, pricing, and vendor data across all systems, including product setup, categorization, and tax status.
  • Ensure data integrity across platforms such as Catapult WebOffice, WIS, Instacart, Local Express, and NCG by identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Execute timely and accurate item setups, price changes, and assortment updates in partnership with Category Management.
  • Generate and analyze reports using Excel, SQL, and Access to support business decisions and operational needs.
  • Build queries, combine data from multiple sources, and develop repeatable reporting processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies and contribute to automation and workflow improvements using tools like Laserfiche.
  • Provide cross-functional support to Category Management, Store Operations, Marketing, and IT with reliable data and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and support internal users with data, reporting, and platform functionality.
  • Partner with store teams and scan coordinators to quickly resolve pricing and product issues.
  • Perform regular audits to maintain high data accuracy and consistency.
