Essential Job Functions Post daily charges to accounts via computer as assigned. Verifies that the scheduled service matches the charge posted. Enters cancellations, failures, and no shows when completing end-of-day procedures. Prompts staff to complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner. Performs daily Charge reconciliation. Maintains Charge Reconciliation Tracking Log. Investigate any errors. Verifies that correct diagnosis, CPT, HCPC and provider are entered on each account. Updates diagnosis codes when indicated by clinician. Coordinates Managed Care Authorization when requested by Behavioral Health Management. Educates staff regarding any changes in authorization process. Serves as a liaison between various hospitals departments. Verifies that new procedures run accurately across all departments involved. Consistently monitors current insurance guidelines. Trains department staff when indicated. Meets with other departments as needed to coordinate new/revised procedures.
