Data Conversion Developer
About The Position
Grant Street Group is looking for data conversion developers with strong programming and database skills. You will write data conversion code to migrate clients to our TaxSys software. You’ll use modern Perl and SQL on a Linux / MySQL platform and our proprietary parallel-computing framework. A significant part of the role involves debugging data, where you’ll combine technical skills with domain knowledge to track down elusive errors in clients’ data. You will be paired with a data analyst on each conversion, who will provide specifications, validate converted data, and gather client feedback. You will be part of an agile team dedicated to ensuring a trouble-free go-live for the client.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience writing production-quality code (Perl experience preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of relational databases and SQL (MySQL experience a bonus).
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with BASH shell scripting.
- Experience with Makefiles.
- Experience with Docker or alternatives for container management.
