About The Position
We are seeking multiple Data Center Technicians to support a large-scale data center construction project in Brownsville, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile build with significant overtime available and the chance to gain experience in a fast-paced data center environment. Technicians will work on rotating day and night shift crews to support a 24/7 project schedule. Candidates must be comfortable working overtime, possess basic hand tools, and follow all site safety requirements.
Requirements
- Previous low-voltage cabling or structured cabling experience.
- Experience pulling, terminating, dressing, and testing data cables.
- Ability to use hand tools such as: Punch-down tools, Termination tools, Wire strippers, Crimpers, Cable testing equipment
- Ability to work either day or night shifts.
- Willingness to work regular overtime.
- Must provide own basic hand tools.
- Must have basic PPE (hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, work boots).
- Ability to work in a secure environment with no cell phone access while on-site.
Nice To Haves
- Data center experience.
- Coax installation experience.
- Electrical or low-voltage installation background.
- Cable testing and troubleshooting experience.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Scissor Lift Certification.
- Experience supporting large-scale commercial or mission-critical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling systems.
- Pull and dress copper, fiber, and coaxial cables throughout the facility.
- Perform rack and stack activities, including equipment installation and cable management.
- Label, test, troubleshoot, and document cable installations.
- Install cable pathways, supports, and infrastructure components.
- Follow data center standards and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet installation deadlines.
- Work effectively on either day or night shifts as project needs dictate.
