About The Position

Simple Mining operates large-scale cryptocurrency mining sites, and we’re looking for someone who can keep up in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site position in Algona, IA. No remote work. You must be able to commute daily. Relocation is not provided. Starting pay: $18/hour

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of hands-on or technical experience
• Basic understanding of networks and IP addresses
• Comfortable learning new systems and entering data accurately
• Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to do physical work
• Steel-toed boots (required day one)
• Durable work pants (jeans)
• Weather-appropriate gear
• Prescription safety lenses (if needed; frames provided)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ASIC miners or similar equipment
• Familiarity with Foreman or BTC Tools
• Network setup or troubleshooting experience

Responsibilities

• Track and close work tickets quickly
• Prioritize machines that need attention
• Maintain accurate records in Foreman and other systems
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
• Read miner logs and resolve performance problems
• Handle overheating, replace filters, and keep machines running efficiently
• Monitor machines using Foreman and BTC Tools
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues
• Set up IPs and bring new miners online
• Assist with setup of miners and pods
• Keep the site clean, organized, and secure
• Support and train team members as needed
