Requirements

  • Proven experience performing true Level 2 hardware troubleshooting and break/fix activities.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing server hardware issues without relying on scripted support.
  • Experience working within production data centers, labs, or enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot hardware failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale server deployments and installations.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware issues to identify root causes and perform repairs.
  • Replace and install hardware components, including power supplies, memory modules, SSDs, GPUs, CPUs, and other server components.
  • Coordinate replacement parts and manage defective hardware returns.
  • Perform firmware upgrades and hardware updates to ensure systems remain compliant and operational.
  • Configure server settings, including IP addressing and system credentials.
  • Support installation, deployment, and integration of server and network infrastructure.
  • Rack, stack, cable, and deploy servers and networking equipment within data center environments.
  • Install, replace, and troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling.
  • Support network teams by resolving server-related issues and assisting with hardware modifications and upgrades.
  • Replace damaged cables, optics, and other infrastructure components.
  • Assist with infrastructure expansion, hardware deployment projects, and ongoing operational support.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams to maintain data center reliability and performance.
