About The Position

NTT is assembling a Tiger team of L2 data center technicians to support the "Hi-Fiber" project for their customer Google. The Hi-Fiber project is Google's initiative to replace older Coax cable with fiber. This team will be responsible for setting up processes and procedures at new Google locations for the first 6-8 weeks of these projects. The team will travel to initiate projects and then move on to other Google locations to perform the same tasks. During downtime between projects, technicians will work at the Google Datacenter in their home markets. NTT seeks experienced data center technicians who can immediately handle this work and troubleshoot issues. Eventually, level 1 cable pullers will be hired to sustain the projects long-term.

Requirements

Experience as an L2 data center technician.
Experience with data center operations.
Experience with cable installation and replacement.
Troubleshooting experience.
Rack and stack experience.
Hardware troubleshooting experience.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to travel by airplane and/or vehicle.
No travel restrictions.
Flexibility with travel requirements (potentially on the road for up to two weeks at a time).

Responsibilities

Support the "Hi-Fiber" project for Google, replacing Coax cable with fiber.
Set up processes and procedures at new Google locations for the initial 6-8 weeks of projects.
Travel to Google locations to initiate projects and ensure they are on the right track.
Work at the Google Datacenter in home markets during downtime between projects.
