About The Position

The Data Center Technician provides working-level data center expertise and is responsible for the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the facility’s electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems. The role follows processes designed to maximize customer uptime cost-effectively, identify and repair problems quickly, ensure contractors deliver quality services, and meet internal customer needs. The technician operates, monitors, maintains, and responds to abnormal conditions in mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, and building monitoring and control systems. The position supports preventive and predictive maintenance, system upgrades and expansions, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and the prevention of unplanned customer-impacting events. Work takes place onsite in a data center environment with varying temperatures and loud noise, and may involve after-hours escalation. The posting also contains a conflicting statement describing the position as remote; elsewhere it explicitly states that onsite work is required and telecommuting is not permitted.
