About The Position

This is a Level 1 technician (helper) role for someone with limited telecom experience but a strong desire to learn. The hiring manager is seeking a trainable individual with a history of working in physically demanding jobs. Key attributes for this role include a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, dependability, and excellent attendance, as the position is located in a data center environment. The role offers significant growth opportunities, with the potential to become a leader within the organization. This is initially a long-term contract position with the possibility of becoming a direct hire FTE with Vision Technology when headcount becomes available.

Requirements

• Experience working in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar)
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliable attendance history
• Must be able to work on ladders and lifts

Responsibilities

• Pull and route cabling throughout the data center
• Assemble, stack, and drill racks
• Scan, label and port equipment
• Use a computer to document locations/part numbers
• Support general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians
