About The Position

The Data Center Technician III provides advanced technical support, operations oversight, and hands-on maintenance for enterprise‑class data center environments. This senior role is responsible for ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of data center infrastructure—including compute, storage, network, power, and cooling systems. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8 Years of related experience.
  • Must have good technical knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, and training or experience with IT equipment setup and maintenance.
  • Secret Clearance is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Must possess problem-solving skills.
  • Must be capable of working with remote support tools and ticketing systems and must be willing to travel.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Executes daily on-site technical support, core hardware deployments, and routine device wellness monitoring while resolving standard escalated user tickets.
  • Deploys and maintains data center infrastructure (servers, storage, network devices), including racking/stacking, cabling, hardware diagnostics, and coordination with vendors for repairs.
  • Performs routine device wellness checks and resolves day-to-day hardware/software issues for onsite personnel, coordinating with service desk and engineering teams as needed.
  • Supports conference rooms by inspecting, setting up, and troubleshooting audiovisual and communication equipment to ensure meeting readiness.
  • Provides onsite support, troubleshooting, and patching for Windows 10 endpoints and legacy enterprise applications such as MS Office 2013.
  • Monitors data center operations (power, cooling, environmental conditions, and infrastructure health), responding to alerts and assisting with capacity planning and environmental optimization.
  • Manages ticketing and documentation, ensuring detailed tracking of incidents, changes, and service requests, and maintains accurate asset records, rack elevations, and configuration documentation.
  • Assists with IT asset lifecycle processing, including decommissioning, sanitization, inventory reconciliation, and preparing equipment for compliant disposal actions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
