This is an onsite 24/7/365 position that involves daily job duties such as hardware installation and decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure. The role requires fixing and repairing data center hardware and networking infrastructure within Service Level Agreements (SLA), and the rack and stack of data center equipment. Responsibilities include landing racks, cabling, powering up servers, and handing them off to internal provisioning teams. The technician will handle daily work through internal tooling systems like JIRA and Confluence, perform problem-solving with some assistance, and document activities with strict alignment to SOPs. Inventory management, including receiving, tracking, and shipping data center equipment, is also a key function. The role involves installing, labeling, and fixing fiber/copper/telecom cables and patch panel systems, understanding and aligning to local site requirements, and providing proper handover reports after shifts. On-call emergency support is required at predetermined times. The technician will participate in training to bridge skill gaps and learn new technologies, support and receive direction from senior team members, and accomplish standard assignments by exercising judgment within defined policies and processes. The role works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations and data requires a review of a variety of factors, developing professional expertise, and applying company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
