About The Position

The Data Center Strategy Consultant will lead the assessment, planning, and development of a long-term data center infrastructure strategy. This strategic consulting role is not a traditional hands-on technician position, but it requires deep knowledge of data center operations and infrastructure to assess the existing environment, identify capacity and resiliency concerns, recognize risks and information gaps, and recommend a path forward. The consultant will evaluate how power, cooling, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, redundancy, resiliency, physical space, capacity, and future technology requirements interact. They will gather technical information from multiple stakeholders and translate it into a clear strategy to guide data center planning and investment decisions. The position is contract-based in North Haven, Connecticut, with a hybrid arrangement described as 23 days on-site with remote flexibility. The consultant will develop strategic options and recommendations, determine where additional engineering or technical investigation is needed, and present findings to technical stakeholders and senior decision-makers. The work will include a roadmap of recommended next steps and a foundation for long-term data center planning.
