About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to join their Infrastructure Operations team. This role will be responsible for managing and improving site security operations within AWS data centers, ensuring the highest standards of data security for their customers. The position involves overseeing physical security operations, developing procedures, handling incidents, working with security equipment, and driving process improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience
• 6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment
• Resilient leadership skills
• Flexibility to work in dynamic environment
• Exceptional knowledge of security practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to make sound decisions in dynamic situations

• Managing security-related tickets, including processing badge access requests, coordinating vendor escorts, and handling security system maintenance requests
• Overseeing security guard force operations
• Verifying SLA compliance
• Conducting random post inspections
• Participating in security team meetings to review metrics, discuss process improvements, and coordinate upcoming projects
• Updating security procedures
• Completing required reports
• Reviewing camera footage
• Documenting incidents
• Responding to security incidents or alarms
• Maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and internal teams
