About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to join their Infrastructure Operations team. This role will focus on managing and improving site security operations within AWS data centers, ensuring the highest standards of data security for their customers. The specialist will be responsible for physical security operations, developing procedures, handling incidents, working with security equipment, and driving process improvements.

• 2+ years of Microsoft Office tools experience
• Experience with access control and CCTV systems

• Reviewing vendor access requests
• Addressing emerging security concerns
• Conducting detailed facility walkthroughs, inspecting perimeter security, checking equipment condition, and documenting any vulnerabilities
• Managing security-related tickets, including processing badge access requests, coordinating vendor escorts, and handling security system maintenance requests
• Overseeing the security guard force operations
• Verifying SLA compliance
• Conducting random post inspections to ensure quality service delivery
• Participating in security team meetings to review metrics, discuss process improvements, and coordinate upcoming projects
• Updating security procedures
• Completing required reports
• Reviewing camera footage
• Documenting incidents
• Responding to security incidents or alarms
• Maintaining constant vigilance over the facility's security posture
• Maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and internal teams
