About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join their Infrastructure Operations team. This role will be responsible for managing and improving site security operations within AWS data centers. The selected individual will oversee physical security operations, develop post orders, define security procedures, handle site incidents, work with security equipment, participate in construction projects, drive process improvements, and manage vendors. Duties include ensuring consistent deployment of security policies and procedures, participating in site audits and reviews, and testing new security technologies. The role requires resilient leadership, flexibility in a dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as access control/intrusion detection and CCTV surveillance systems
• 6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
• Additional education or training in security-related fields is a plus.
• Resilient leadership skills

• Exceptional knowledge of security practices
• Strong written and verbal communication

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of law enforcement, or 8+ years of security-related professional experience
• 1+ years of team leadership experience
• College Degree (Bachelors) or Background in one or more of: Military (Career/Military Police/Military Special Operations Forces), Law Enforcement with Arrest Authority (Police Academy Graduate), TSA Security Screening, Correctional Facility Officer
