About The Position
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist for its AMER Non-Traditional Environment (NTE) Security Team. This role is based in the Non-Traditional Control Center and requires a detail-oriented, innovative, and professional individual with a passion for customer satisfaction, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The specialist will oversee contract employee deliverables, collaborate with NTE Security Managers on security strategies, financial targets, and operational security improvements within NTE Data Centers. The position reports to the NTE Regional Security Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools

- Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion systems
- Experience with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a Control room environment
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the activities of a professional contract guard force.
- Interface with and assist in mobilizing vendors involved in system repairs and new security construction.
- Oversee individual security vendor deliverables, track service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
- Foster working relationships to educate Data Center business partners and stakeholders on NTE Security posture, processes and procedures.
- Foster working relationships to educate Data Center business partners and stakeholders on false alarm reductions.
- Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing data.
- Verify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards.
- Develop strategies for improving electronic surveillance and access controls.
- Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations.
- Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security processes and procedures.
- Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain security standards.
