About The Position

AECOM is seeking Data Center Quality Assurance Managers nationally. This position will be on site in Columbus, OH. The role involves leading a team of inspectors to review construction contractors’ workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformity with contract requirements. Key responsibilities include maintaining defect logs, monitoring contractor quality programs, reporting test failures and corrective actions, overseeing punchlists, and resolving critical issues with the Construction Management Lead. The position also involves providing input for project reports, serving as a direct point of contact for the Owner, summarizing test results, verifying test conduct and records, maintaining professionalism, representing the Client, conducting site visits for quality assurance and safety, and coordinating client outage/shutdown procedures.

Requirements

  • BA/BS plus eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

  • 15 years of experience with construction and/or quality management
  • CQM or other professional certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of inspectors reviewing the construction contractors’ workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformity with the requirements of the construction contracts.
  • Maintain a list of all defects and omissions.
  • Maintain Non-Conformance Notice and Open Issues Log Reconciliation.
  • Monitor the contractors’ quality program for conformance to the plan throughout the course of construction.
  • Notify CLIENT of test failures and plan corrective actions.
  • Perform Punchlist oversight and participate in Zero Defect walkthrough.
  • Reports critical issues to the Construction Management Lead and provides proper resolution.
  • Provides in put for weekly project reports and monthly progress reports.
  • Serves as the direct point of contact for the Owner, ensuring successful project execution and communication.
  • Summarizing significant test results in progress reports.
  • Verifying that tests are conducted as scheduled, witnessing selected tests, checking test results, if required, overseeing retesting, and retaining test records.
  • Maintain professionalism in attire and communication during all time on site and in meetings.
  • Represent the Client in alignment with contract requirements and project deliverables.
  • Conducts periodic site visits for quality assurance, safety compliance, and project tracking.
  • Coordinate client Outage / Shutdown Procedure.
