About The Position

AECOM is seeking Data Center Quality Assurance Managers to work on site in Charlotte, NC. This role involves leading a team of inspectors to review construction contractors' workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformity with contract requirements. The position requires maintaining logs of defects and omissions, monitoring contractor quality programs, and reporting test failures and corrective actions to the client. The manager will also perform punchlist oversight, participate in zero defect walkthroughs, and report critical issues to the Construction Management Lead. Responsibilities include providing input for project reports, summarizing test results, verifying test schedules and results, and maintaining professionalism on site and in meetings. The role also involves representing the client, conducting site visits for quality assurance and safety, and coordinating client outage/shutdown procedures.

Requirements

  • BA/BS plus eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

  • 15 years of experience with construction and/or quality management
  • CQM or other professional certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of inspectors reviewing the construction contractors’ workmanship, materials, and equipment for conformity with the requirements of the construction contracts.
  • Maintain a list of all defects and omissions.
  • Maintain Non-Conformance Notice and Open Issues Log Reconciliation.
  • Monitor the contractors’ quality program for conformance to the plan throughout the course of construction.
  • Notify CLIENT of test failures and plan corrective actions.
  • Perform Punchlist oversight and participate in Zero Defect walkthrough.
  • Reports critical issues to the Construction Management Lead and provides proper resolution.
  • Provides in put for weekly project reports and monthly progress reports.
  • Serves as the direct point of contact for the Owner, ensuring successful project execution and communication.
  • Summarizing significant test results in progress reports.
  • Verifying that tests are conducted as scheduled, witnessing selected tests, checking test results, if required, overseeing retesting, and retaining test records.
  • Maintain professionalism in attire and communication during all time on site and in meetings.
  • Represent the Client in alignment with contract requirements and project deliverables.
  • Conducts periodic site visits for quality assurance, safety compliance, and project tracking.
  • Coordinate client Outage / Shutdown Procedure.
