About The Position

Nebius is seeking an experienced IT Hardware Support Engineer with a focus on IT Projects and relevant activities to join their team. This role aims to provide support in troubleshooting high-performance server hardware, including GPU clusters, and also implementations of additional infrastructure components on production sites. The Data Center Technician will be involved in the resolution of complex hardware incidents, proactive handling of L1/L2 support via the ticketing system, and will work in collaboration with the Technical Project Manager. This role expects candidates to have advanced technical experience paired with some project management experience, allowing them to advance projects, identify specific risks, and participate in implementation with the support of third parties. The position is based out of the Missouri data center location.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of datacenters, and server equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of IT hardware and practical experience of troubleshooting
  • Advanced skills working with the Unix/Linux operating system and command line
  • Experience with equipment monitoring, data analysis and presentation
  • Basic understanding of Project Management methodologies
  • Basic understanding of Project Management tools (JIRA, Gantt charts)
  • Proactiveness and sense of responsibility
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of network equipment and troubleshooting in advanced level
  • Proven project management experience in IT Infrastructure domain
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science
  • Driving license

Responsibilities

  • Solve hardware-related issues with servers, involving in-depth advanced-level troubleshooting
  • Report to hardware problem management, execute workarounds and solutions
  • Solve proactively L1/L2 tasks through ticket system
  • Update new processes and documentation for IT hardware team
  • Collaborate with Technical Project Manager on current projects
  • Participate in technical projects implementations
  • Oversee 3rd party contractor activities during project implementations
  • Basic level of network tasks, troubleshooting and support
