About The Position

We are seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to support the planning, expansion, modernization, and resiliency of mission-critical data center facilities. This role is focused on the physical infrastructure of the data center, including electrical, mechanical, power, and cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have direct experience helping determine how data center infrastructure is designed, implemented, expanded, commissioned, and optimized. This is not a data center operations role. We are specifically seeking engineers who have contributed to infrastructure development and engineering decisions rather than primarily operating or maintaining infrastructure after deployment.

Responsibilities

Support the design, implementation, and expansion of mission-critical data center infrastructure.
Review engineering designs and technical specifications to ensure alignment with availability, resiliency, and capacity requirements.
Participate in infrastructure modernization, expansion, and development initiatives.
Engineer and support critical power infrastructure including: Utility service, Switchgear, Generators, UPS systems, Power distribution systems.
Support cooling plant and mechanical infrastructure design and optimization.
Perform power, cooling, and space capacity planning.
Develop infrastructure models to support future growth and expansion initiatives.
Conduct resiliency, redundancy, and failover assessments.
Lead or participate in commissioning activities and integrated systems testing.
Validate infrastructure readiness and ensure system performance meets design standards.
Support acceptance testing for new construction and infrastructure upgrades.
Perform root cause analysis for critical infrastructure failures.
Develop and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
Leverage DCIM, telemetry, and engineering metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
Partner with Construction, Real Estate, Critical Systems, Technology, and vendor teams.
Coordinate with utility providers and external stakeholders on infrastructure-related initiatives.
Provide technical guidance during project planning and execution.
