About The Position

The Data Center Engineering team develops the physical design of data centers and works on complex infrastructure challenges, including power and environmentally friendly facilities. The role focuses on improving efficiency, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, developing infrastructure improvements, and communicating recommendations to senior-level executives while supporting implementation with facilities technicians. As a Manager of Data Center Engineering (Execution Engineering), you will lead end-to-end delivery of hyperscale infrastructure, overseeing civil, structural, geotechnical, and water/wastewater systems from site due diligence and design through commissioning and support for Operations. You will serve as a technical authority and collaborate with cross-functional teams, external architecture and engineering partners, and general contractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role also manages a group of experienced engineers in civil, structural, geotechnical, water, and wastewater disciplines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of experience in Civil/Structural or Site Engineering.
Experience with building design, coordination, and construction.
Experience implementing civil/structural engineering principles, such as grading and drainage, hydraulic modeling, sediment control, erosion control, or soil migration.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Chartered Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of site layout, grading, drainage, road, and infrastructure layouts.
Knowledge of water/wastewater design, hydraulic modeling, and industry construction means and methods.
Ability to communicate technical issues effectively in written and verbal forms, with particular consideration for online collaboration and presentations.
Ability to work in a team or collaborative environment and communicate technical issues effectively in written and verbal forms.

Responsibilities

Lead execution and delivery of civil, structural, geotechnical, and water/wastewater infrastructure for global data center campus developments, from site intake to operational handover.
Manage cross-functional technical teams and A/E consultants to ensure adherence to engineering standards, building codes, and project milestones.
Work with the DCS team on construction issues and provide technical guidance.
Oversee site due diligence, mass grading, foundation designs, and stormwater/wastewater management strategies to mitigate risks and optimize site constructability.
Drive quality assurance, schedule tracking, and risk mitigation frameworks across active construction phases to support high availability and reliability.
Ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives, and support implementation alongside facilities technicians.
