This is a Contract position based out of Memphis, TN. The role involves providing on-site technical support for AI Server systems, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal downtime. The engineer will design and implement standard procedures, perform corrective maintenance, diagnose complex system malfunctions, and conduct proactive and reactive maintenance. Safety, quality, and documentation guidelines must be enforced during interventions. The position also requires initial system health checks and environmental audits, and collaboration with logistics for parts delivery, often managing significant inventory value. The role also involves strategic collaboration with various customer and internal teams to develop recovery protocols, conduct root cause analysis, communicate effectively, and identify opportunities for process enhancements or automation. On-call rotations or extended hours support may be required. The engineer will also collaborate with engineering teams to validate firmware updates and author technical documentation for recurring issues. Additionally, the role includes providing training and support to team members, mentoring junior engineers, and committing to ongoing professional development. Administrative duties include managing spare parts, tools, and test equipment, updating service records, submitting expense reports and timecards, and ensuring prompt parts returns. Rigorous audits of inventory levels are required monthly. Weekly operational summaries for leadership are also part of the duties.
