Data Centers are considered Critical Facilities, supporting essential services like hospitals, laboratories, and public safety centers. This 12-week internship program is designed to equip individuals with non-traditional degree backgrounds, specifically from trade schools, with the necessary skills to become data center technicians/engineers. This opportunity offers a path to a lifelong career in an industry that impacts lives globally, allowing interns to not just make a living, but to make a difference.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. and possess agile manual dexterity (climb, stoop, etc.) with or without accommodation.
• Flexibility to work any assigned shift, off-schedule, fill in for coworkers, respond to emergencies, holidays, nights, etc.
• Natural curiosity and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer service mindset – whether the customer is a co-worker, a supplier, or a client.
• Dedication and commitment to doing things with precision and accuracy.
• High School Diploma

Nice To Haves

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, fiber optics, ethernet, switches and servers, electrical, diesel generator, fire systems, and building automation systems/building mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Learn hands-on skills required for different career paths within data centers, including electrical, mechanical, fiber optics, HVAC systems, fire systems, building automation systems/building mechanical systems, and customer-focused sales opportunities.
• Learn systems and tools that will increase technical knowledge.
• Support customer happiness through timely and detailed order execution.
• Grow natural curiosity for facilities.
• Develop strong problem-solving skills.
• Maintain detailed written records of all work activity.
• Contribute to the success of the team and the company by completing hands-on work.

Benefits

• Paid hourly, 40 hours per week
• The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is: United States: $25 - $35 / Hourly
• Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position
