The incumbent should expect to be assigned programmatic, compliance, safety, training, operational readiness, and other mission-support responsibilities that serve as a significant and recurring focus of the position. While a foundational understanding of data center engineering principles, critical infrastructure systems, and operational practices is required, the successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional diligence, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This role requires a self-directed professional capable of managing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate records and documentation, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring assigned programs remain compliant with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will be expected to take ownership of assigned responsibilities, proactively identify, and resolve issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels. These assignments are performed in conjunction with core engineering duties and are critical to maintaining the reliability, security, resilience, and operational readiness of the data center. Success in this position requires a balance of technical competency, administrative rigor, accountability, and the ability to independently execute programs that support organizational objectives and mission-critical operations.
