About The Position

As a Data Center Security Manager, you deliver full pieces of a project and make significant contributions with minimal guidance. You use your knowledge of security technology, data analysis, and data visualization to plan efforts of a team responsible for small to medium sized initiatives by delivering value-added perspectives and influencing project direction. You contribute to cross-team collaborations, identify and recommend multiple creative ways to solve defined problems. As a Data Center Area Security Manager, you drive the outcomes of key data center infrastructure through technical contributions. You use your deep knowledge of data center security designs, operations, and local laws to develop and lead programs that align with regional or global strategy in order to gain site efficiency. You partner with external industry leaders and collaborate with upper management and cross-functional teams to discuss project prioritization, and resource allocation. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. Requirements

  • 7 years of experience managing, sourcing, or procuring business resources and vendors.
  • 7 years of experience developing and deploying processes to mitigate risk, and leading operational or project based work and tasks.
  • 7 years of experience coordinating or managing resources for data center locations.
  • Experience with reviewing architectural design documents.
  • Experience with physical security assessments.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience coordinating or leading security, and experience planning security operations or strategy for security programs.
  • 4 years of experience managing incidents and crises.
  • 2 years of experience with physical security system architecture, components, installation methods, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • 2 years of experience with data center technologies, infrastructure, and methodologies.
  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed contracted workforce.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate architectural blueprints to ensure strict compliance with established Google physical security standards.
  • Assist with the implementation and installation of critical security systems—including access control, CCTV, and perimeter fencing—in close collaboration with the CDS team, general contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage comprehensive security risk assessments across all active construction sites, proactively identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with DCS, CDS, and Design and Delivery teams to support the responsible Google Security Manager (GSM) throughout the Facility Readiness lifecycle. Provide strategic insight and oversight to ensure all deliverables align with Corporate Security Risk Management (CSRM) standards.
  • Monitor Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems for security-related discrepancies, actively supporting local A/GSMs to track and address efficiently.
