About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a global leader in providing a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud. The Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD) organization within AWS Infrastructure is responsible for preparing, planning, and building the data centers that form the AWS cloud. This role is for an experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager based in Seattle, WA or Herndon, VA, tasked with managing delivery operations programs that have a large-scale impact on capacity delivery. The successful candidate will develop, lead, and execute centralized strategies to ensure timely delivery of builds, meeting customer need-by-dates and maintaining capacity delivery health across the AMER region. A key responsibility involves creating a strategy from scratch to assess delivery risks across the entire project portfolio and initiating programs to mitigate these risks. This highly visible position requires integrating key initiatives across Capacity Delivery and partner teams, identifying and implementing best practices through process and policy development, tracking action items, developing process changes, and launching new tools. The role drives operational excellence by leveraging knowledge of infrastructure builds to advise and influence cross-region business decisions, demanding a high level of organization and coordination to address emerging risks and issues through existing or new mechanisms.
