About The Position

The Data Capture Operations - Project Manager is the operational hub of Niricson's global Data Capture organization. Rather than spending most of your time in the field, you'll be responsible for ensuring every data capture project is thoroughly planned, coordinated, communicated, and successfully executed. You'll work across Sales, Clients, the Senior Project Manager, the Director of DRONIC® Data Capture & Network Operations, the Data Capture Lead, Geospatial, Engineering, and external drone partners to ensure projects move seamlessly from signed contract to successful deployment. This is a highly collaborative role where success depends on exceptional communication, planning, organization, and attention to detail. Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of project coordination, operations, logistics, client delivery, or project management experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong client-facing experience
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize in fast-changing environments
  • Close attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience using project management software (Asana, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification (or working toward one)
  • Experience in engineering, construction, surveying, drones, infrastructure, utilities, or field operations
  • Knowledge of GIS, UAV operations, or infrastructure inspection
  • Experience coordinating field crews
  • Experience with international logistics
  • Familiarity with procurement and equipment coordination

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all Data Capture projects from project handoff through completion.
  • Translate signed client contracts into executable field deployment plans.
  • Build detailed project timelines and execution schedules.
  • Ensure project milestones remain on track.
  • Identify risks early and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent deployments across North America and internationally.
  • Become the primary operational contact for clients before and during field deployments.

  • Partner closely with Sales, Project Management, Data Capture Team, Geospatial Team, Product & Engineering, Operations, and Finance to ensure everyone is aligned before, during, and after every deployment.
  • Coordinate everything required for successful field deployments, including: Equipment shipments, Drone logistics, Site access documentation, Safety documentation, Field schedules, Resource planning.
  • Work closely with the Director and Data Capture Field Lead to: Schedule technicians, Balance workloads, Reduce unnecessary travel, Improve utilization, Forecast upcoming resource needs.
  • Help reduce operational pressure on the Data Capture team by ensuring projects are thoroughly organized before technicians arrive on site.
  • Ensure information flows smoothly between every stakeholder, communicating with: Clients, Internal leadership, Senior Project Manager, Field Technicians, Drone operators, Contractors, Engineering teams.
  • Help build scalable operational processes by: Improving project planning workflows, Standardizing documentation, Developing playbooks, Improving communication templates, Identifying operational bottlenecks, Recommending process improvements.
