About The Position

emergiTEL is hiring a Data Capture Analyst for a Banking Client. This is a remote position located in Calgary, AB, and is a 4-month contract.

The Dual Risk Rating (DRR) Program seeks to establish foundational risk assessment tools, processes and applications that align to expectations of regulatory bodies, meet expected practices for peer Financial Institutions and support the redevelopment of non-consumer credit portfolio models that will truly rank-order, loss given default (LGD) via facility risk ratings (FRR), and probability of default (PD) via borrower risk ratings (BRR).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a relevant qualification.
• Basic proficiency in data tools such as Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive learning mindset, and the ability to follow structured processes accurately.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable asking questions and flagging issues early.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the Banking industry is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the systematic input and aggregation of data from specified sources into our internal tools and templates.
• Maintain organized records of data sources and collection activities.
• Work with the team to understand business requirements and ensure that data collection meets the needs of current projects.
• Help troubleshoot basic data pipeline issues and suggest improvements for more efficient data handling.
