About The Position

The Data & Automation Analyst I is an entry-level technology role focused on combining business data analysis with modern automation and AI-assisted application development. The position helps the Bank leverage data more effectively, automate routine processes, and create innovative productivity solutions that improve employee and customer experiences. Under the guidance of senior staff, the analyst will develop skills in reporting, business intelligence, automation, and AI-enabled software development while supporting key strategic initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Business Analytics with 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SQL.
Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI.
Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms.
Exposure to SharePoint, Teams, or workflow automation tools.

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and distribute recurring reports and dashboards. Support executive, operational, and departmental reporting requirements.
Assist in gathering, organizing, and validating data from multiple business systems.
Develop and modify SQL queries to support reporting and analysis needs. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and operational insights.
Help document data definitions, report logic, and reporting procedures.
Use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code and Microsoft Copilot, to create and enhance internal productivity solutions. Support automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve process efficiency.
Develop simple web applications, dashboards, forms, and workflow tools under the guidance of senior team members. Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining internally developed applications.
Participate in proof-of-concept and pilot projects involving AI and automation technologies.
Document applications, workflows, and user instructions.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and eliminate manual processes. Assist in developing automations and integrations between systems.
Collaborate with business users to understand challenges and propose solutions. Support user adoption through training and knowledge sharing.
Work closely with business units to understand data and reporting needs. Participate in project meetings and solution design discussions.
Follow Bank policies related to information security, privacy, compliance, and change management.
Stay informed on emerging technologies related to data, analytics, automation, and AI.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
