We serve federal and state agencies, consultants, and the public. WYNDD data, analyses, and staff expertise contribute to effective strategies of natural resource management and more efficient compliance with environmental regulations. This position will help with biological research and data management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No experience necessary, just a willingness to work and attention to detail
  • Must be a current UW student
  • Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

Nice To Haves

  • An interest in wildlife, aquatic ecosystems, botany, and/or vegetation communities.
  • All majors and backgrounds welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry, filing, sorting aquatic invertebrates, and other duties associated with research and data management for species and vegetation communities of conservation concern in Wyoming.
  • Many duties will be in a lab that includes sorting aquatic insects, pinning pollinators and other invertebrate related research.
  • Chance for summer employment as biological technician.
