This role involves shaping the data architecture and data models for a large federal data-lake-plus-warehouse platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Requirements
- Deep data modeling and schema design across a data lake and warehouse on AWS.
- Experience with the architect's toolkit: cloud data services, governed access, modeling tools.
- Judgment to restructure a live ecosystem without breaking it.
- Communication skills to carry a design past technical and non-technical stakeholders in a regulated environment where accuracy and auditability are not optional.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
Responsibilities
- Shape the data architecture and data models for a large federal data-lake-plus-warehouse platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Build clean data models and schemas across the lake and the warehouse (Amazon Redshift, S3, and relational databases).
- Design the architecture that brings data together, including models and schemas for new and migrated sources.
- Restructure the existing ecosystem to cut redundancy and protect integrity and accessibility, all under governed access.
- Contribute to new capabilities, tools, and lines of business spun up by the firm.
