About The Position

Seeking an experienced Data Architect to support enterprise-wide data strategy, architecture, and database management. The role involves designing and optimizing data systems, supporting case management and election-related data processes, and providing technical leadership across complex IT environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience with large and complex database systems.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage enterprise-wide data architecture.
  • Develop conceptual and logical data models.
  • Define data standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Build and maintain operational data stores and data marts.
  • Maintain SQL database tables for records, case files, and document tracking.
  • Optimize database performance, recovery strategies, and load processes.
  • Perform data migration and system tuning activities.
  • Create complex queries and interpret multiple datasets.
  • Identify trends and patterns in large datasets.
  • Design and deliver ad-hoc reports and analytics.
  • Support data reconciliation activities (e.g., OECS case work).
  • Analyze business processes and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Develop shell scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Transform raw data into structured, formatted reports.
  • Analyze and assess network infrastructure and operations.
  • Recommend and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and support upgrades to operating systems.
  • Work closely with IT teams and business users to gather requirements.
  • Provide data resources for case intake, investigation, and management.
  • Support election-related data systems and intake processes.
  • Create technical design documentation.
  • Develop process flow diagrams and data flow diagrams.
  • Document functional and technical specifications.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across multiple projects.
  • Lead complex initiatives and provide technical guidance.
  • Mentor junior technical staff.
  • Submit weekly progress reports.
  • Maintain monthly timesheets.
  • Participate in ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental IT standards.
