About The Position

The Data Architect I is responsible for understanding the data required for applications built upon the Pointcore fabric, including the definition, format, quality, and business purpose of the data. This position collaborates with clients to map source systems, validate data quality and completeness, and support the ingestion and transformation of data into Pointcore applications. The role works closely with Solution Architects and technical teams to ensure datasets provide the information necessary to support client application development and operational outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, analytics, data science, software engineering, or a closely related field. OR High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experience in SQL, ETL processes, database technologies, cloud technologies, or related data architecture functions.
  • 1 year of experience in data architecture, business intelligence, analytics, information systems, healthcare technology, or related technical functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Foundational proficiency in data mining, data modeling, or predictive modeling concepts and methods.
  • Foundational proficiency in ETL tools, data loading, and transformation methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure administration.
  • Sound communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of version control, SQL development, and data architecture principles.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Technical proficiency in: database design and administration; ETL development; Python or similar programming language; SQL; exploratory data analysis; and scheduled automations.

Nice To Haves

  • UI/UX experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, analytics, data science, software engineering, or a closely related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working with database and cloud technologies such as SQL and Azure.
  • 1 year of experience with database design and configuration.
  • 1 year of experience with technologies commonly used within healthcare system environments.
  • Certification in area of discipline preferred, such as Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or similar cloud data certification.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to API development, Docker, CI/CD, cloud platforms, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data governance, data warehouse design, performance tuning, Linux environments, or system design.
