About The Position

CLA is a top 10 national professional services firm dedicated to creating opportunities for clients, people, and communities through a range of services including wealth advisory, digital, audit, tax, consulting, and outsourcing. CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Data Architect to join their talented Information Technology team. This role offers growth, flexibility, and a collaborative work environment. The Data Architect will lead the design, creation, deployment, and management of the company's data architecture, defining how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by various data entities, IT systems, and applications.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and other database technologies.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance.
  • Understanding of database structure principles and data administration.
  • Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Experience with Databricks and Azure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data architecture, data modeling, and database design preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data architecture solutions.
  • Lead data integration and migration projects.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of formal description of the data and data structures, including data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries.
  • Provide training to junior members of the team and act as a point of escalation for complex questions and issues.
