About The Position

This position's primary function is to serve, from a continuous quality improvement perspective, as the primary support and maintenance position for the utilization of the agency EHR software and Microsoft Office Software related to client information and records compliance. In addition, this position will serve as the back-up position for CQI Assistant Director related functions and continue to perform agency CQI tasks as necessitated and directed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology or related field preferred; OR equivalent understanding and experience with electronics and software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Super-User for and assists in the continued development and maintenance of the utilized EHR software.
  • Gathers information and generates compliance reports for program leadership staff.
  • Serves as primary staff for completion of CDC quarterly file audits.
  • Performs analysis, develops recommendations, and implements solutions for continuous data improvement opportunities.
  • Locates and defines new data process improvement opportunities; propose practices that will prevent metadata, data quality and data compliance problems.
  • Assists Assistant Director of CQI to gather and report data.
  • Meets with stakeholders to discuss data issue findings; assists in policy and procedure improvements to remedy data issues; monitors improvement plans as indicated.
  • Writes and runs SQL queries to identify data issues and exceptions related to existing report requirements.
  • Builds SQL queries to extract meaningful data per new report requirements determined by program and leadership staff.
  • Automates data preparation and report rendering, where possible.
  • Researches, presents, and resolves application issues; acts as single-point-of-contact with agency EHR partner regarding any technical issues and task ticket resolution.
  • Extracts, filters, and aggregates data through logical queries and basic programming.
  • Develops and creates data layout like tables, charts, graphs, and process flow diagrams.
  • Documents approved processes related to best-practice entry, reporting, and servicing of client data.
  • Assists the agency in all preparation for visits by funding, licensing, monitoring, or accrediting bodies.
  • Assists with projects such as the annual time study, new service documentation development, and continuous quality improvement action plan implementation.
  • Responsible for obtaining required staff development/training hours as set forth by St. Joseph Children’s Home Policy and Procedures, by COA, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Must implement and use the tools acquired during education sessions.
