Data and Reporting Analyst
About The Position
This is an exciting opportunity in the Data Intelligence team where you will play an instrumental role in leveraging RBC's strategic data assets to build automation solutions and data analytic models. You will support the team with focus in data extraction through automation and dashboarding utilizing innovative technologies. We are looking for a passionate complex problem solver and strategic thinker who excels in a highly demanding fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a strong data/business analysis background, is quick to adapt to new technologies, and is enthusiastic about developing innovative solutions to support digital transformation.
Requirements
- 1- 2 years experience in data analytics and reporting
- Experience creating and enhancing data insight/reports with BI Reporting Tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading from a wide variety of data sources using Python, SQL, and related technologies
- Innovation and automation mindset with curiosity for emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Excellent analytical skills & critical thinking skills to investigate system and business issues, determine root cause, and deliver sustainable solutions
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI fundamentals
- Familiarity with APIs and integration platforms for connecting data sources and automating processes
- Experience with designing and developing large-scale data pipelines, working with Airflow, Helios, Github
- Experience with automation frameworks and workflow orchestration tools
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to build data insights and visualizations
- Design and implement automated data workflows through Python scripts, incorporating data quality validation to identify errors/anomalies and ensuring timely data availability
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and automation solutions to reduce manual tasks and provide data insights
- Explore alternative options and recommend technology solutions for data automation and reporting
- Create and document procedures related to supported solutions to increase adoption across enterprise
- Create agentic/AI and proof of concept solutions to increase efficiency
