About The Position

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, a prominent human services provider founded in 1894, offers a wide range of integrated services including social, educational, health, housing, mental health, nutritional, and fitness programs. These services significantly improve the lives of 16,000 individuals annually, from ages 3 to 103, on Manhattan's East Side. The organization serves diverse populations such as older adults, unhoused individuals, children and families, disabled persons, and adult learners. Lenox Hill Neighborhood operates two Older Adult Centers: The Center @ Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, serving 350 older adults daily with extensive programming, and the Older Adult Center @ Saint Peter’s Church, serving 150 older adults daily with a focus on farm-to-table lunch and arts and cultural offerings. The Data and Program Specialist (Part-Time) will be a crucial part of the Older Adult Centers team, providing administrative and logistical support for daily attendance and membership data logging.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Excellent computer and mobile device skills
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with many diverse backgrounds
  • Compassionate, energetic, organized and self-motivated
  • Creative and thoughtful in providing programming and services for older adults
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Team player

Responsibilities

  • Interface daily with members providing excellent customer service, fielding questions and responding to member needs
  • Process and upload membership applications for the Older Adult Centers
  • Check in members for attendance in activities
  • Complete cross-checking of attendance documents with the NYC Aging database on a tracking spreadsheet
  • Collaborate with Lenox Hill Neighborhood House’s staff from a variety of departments and disciplines
  • Complete other data and administrative duties assigned by Senior Program Director
