Data and Analytics Manager

University of California, San Francisco•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

The Data and Analytics Manager (DAM) oversees data operations for the Perinatal Research Program (PRP), supporting its continued growth and operational excellence. The PRP comprises four components: Pregnancy Research Infrastructure and Support Management (PRISM), a research infrastructure program at Mission Bay; a parallel infrastructure support program at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG); the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units (MFMU) Network collaboration; the Fetal Sequencing Program (FSP); and Perinatal Clinical Research (PRC). The program supports a broad portfolio of perinatal clinical research, including randomized trials, long-term follow-up studies, industry-sponsored studies, prenatal diagnostic development, and treatment studies. Its portfolio includes approximately 25 active studies and approximately $7 million in total funding. The manager independently oversees research data management, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis and reporting, and quality assurance across multiple concurrent studies. The role designs and maintains databases, data collection tools, documentation, reporting systems, and standardized procedures; prepares and analyzes datasets; and advises investigators and study teams. The position also provides staff training and consultation, improves data systems and workflows, and evaluates technologies such as EHR integrations and artificial intelligence applications. The role collaborates with the PRP Director, principal investigators, research teams, statisticians, clinical partners, and the UCSF Epic team.
