About The Position

As a Data & Analytics Senior Manager, you will play a critical leadership role within Investment Operations (IO) Data Excellence, helping shape and execute the organization's long-term data strategy. You will lead teams responsible for advancing Data Governance and Data Enablement capabilities while partnering closely with business, data, and technology leaders to deliver scalable solutions that improve how data is managed, governed, and leveraged across the enterprise. You will be responsible for developing talent, driving organizational alignment, and helping teams solve complex data challenges through practical, business-focused solutions. You will leverage your technical expertise and governance experience to establish scalable frameworks, improve data quality and enablement practices, and advance the adoption of modern technologies, including AI-enabled solutions. You will foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning, empowering associates to grow their capabilities while connecting their work to Capital Group's broader mission and strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of leadership experience within data and technology functions, with exposure to or experience in asset management.
  • Deep expertise in Data Governance, including designing and implementing governance frameworks, improving data quality, establishing stewardship models, and driving sustainable governance practices across complex organizations, while leveraging emerging technologies and automation to scale governance outcomes.
  • Strong technical foundation, with experience partnering closely with data, engineering, and technology teams, and can credibly engage in technical discussions to help solve complex data challenges.
  • Experience driving Data Enablement initiatives that improve how data is accessed, understood, governed, and applied across the organization, while identifying innovative ways to leverage AI and automation to accelerate insight generation, self-service adoption, and business outcomes.
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging capabilities and bring an AI-first mindset to continuously improve data governance, data quality, operational effectiveness, and business outcomes.
  • Can leverage advanced analytics, visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx), and modern data techniques to deliver actionable insights.
  • Led and developed high-performing teams through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and performance leadership, fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented culture.
