Data & Analytics Reporting Analyst
About The Position
Aon is looking for a Data & Analytics Reporting Analyst. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions. This role will be based in the Alpharetta, GA office 3 days a week, 2 remote. A data‑driven, analytically strong professional will join our Data and Analytics Reporting team. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with data, strong presentation skills, and a solid foundation in both computer science and finance. This role will focus on building and maintaining reporting and analytics solutions to support business decision‑making.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience in a data/analytics, business intelligence, or reporting role.
- Strong SQL skills (querying, joins, aggregations, performance awareness).
- Hands‑on experience with reporting/BI tools (Power BI strongly preferred).
- Solid proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) for analysis and presentations.
- Financial services or finance‑related domain experience (e.g., portfolios, revenue, P&L, KPIs, financial metrics).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with high attention to detail and data quality.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to tell a clear story with data for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working in a hybrid environment and collaborating across business and technology teams.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with other analytics or visualization tools is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
- Translate complex data and analyses into clear, actionable insights and executive‑ready presentations/decks.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver analytics solutions that address their needs.
- Validate data accuracy, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot reporting issues.
- Support ad‑hoc analysis and reporting requests from business and leadership.
- Document data definitions, reporting logic, and processes.
