About The Position
Select Sires, Inc. is seeking candidates to join their team as a Data Analytics Intern. This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is located at their Plain City, OH facility and reports to the Lead Data Analyst. The internship involves contributing to a business-driven data project, understanding business requirements, exploring data to identify trends, developing reports and visualizations, and presenting findings to leadership. Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate student in Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Strong background or interest in the dairy or beef industry is strongly preferred
- Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn how data supports decision-making across the business
- Willingness to explore new tools, methods, and problem-solving approaches
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams, including remote colleagues
- Strong communication skills with an interest in translating data into meaningful insights
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to or interest in Databricks, SQL, Python, or BI tools such as Power BI
- Familiarity with agricultural data or a strong interest in learning how data impacts the dairy and beef industries
- Enthusiasm for connecting technical skills with real-world business challenges
- Desire to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to data projects

- Develop reports, visualizations, or models that translate data into meaningful business insights
- Share findings and recommendations with IT and business leadership through a final presentation
