Data Analytics Intern - Summer
About The Position
The Data Analytics Intern will support the development of residential HVAC system models and simulations. The role evaluates product performance, efficiency, controls, and reliability through model-based analysis, and contributes to new product development by applying engineering and analytical principles. The position requires current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in a specified engineering or data analytics field, an overall GPA of at least 3.0, and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship. The annual salary range is $43,500 to $87,500. The position may be eligible for short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. It is not eligible for Carrier benefits.
Requirements
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Reliability Engineering, Data Analytics, or any Engineering field.
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, controls, statistics, or reliability principles.
- Experience with engineering analysis tools such as Excel, MATLAB, Python, Simulink, or similar software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute simulations for residential HVAC products and systems.
- Analyze test and field data to calibrate and validate engineering models.
- Document findings and present recommendations to engineering teams.
