About The Position

This part-time individual contributor position supports missionary training efforts by providing operational insights that increase efficiency and effectiveness. The analyst solves complex problems using technology and partners with Research and Evaluation to provide analysis and insights that help missionary training efforts scale and support the strategic goals of the Missionary Department. The role focuses on evaluating training programs and tools, analyzing data, and presenting findings and recommendations to inform operational decisions and planning. The position reports to the Manager of Analytics and Reporting in the Missionary Department.

Requirements

• Experience with data processing software such as Tableau, SQL, R, PowerApps, or Python.
• Experience with data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to plan time effectively to independently manage and collaborate on multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent written, virtual, and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter who is innovative and continually learning.
• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to meet any physical requirements necessary to perform the essential job functions, which may include sitting for long periods and using monitors or equipment.
• Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides transparency, insights, and recommendations to inform operational decision-making and planning.
• Evaluates onboarding experiences and tools used to train leaders, tutors, mentors, teachers, and training coordinators in necessary knowledge and skills.
• Partners with MTC Research and Evaluation on key outcome efforts.
• Analyzes missionary training data from programs in PowerApps using analytics tools such as R, Python, and SQL to assess training use and effectiveness, and visualizes findings in Tableau.
• Synthesizes complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Develops processes and reporting to measure the outputs, outcomes, and impact of training.
• May use programming languages to develop technology solutions for online training.
• May perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
