About The Position

WoodmenLife is seeking a Data Analyst who is passionate about transforming data into meaningful insights that drive business outcomes. This role is highly collaborative and impactful, supporting strategic decision making across the organization by uncovering trends, improving data quality, and delivering actionable recommendations. You’ll work with a modern data stack including Power BI, Snowflake, and Azure technologies while partnering closely with key business areas such as Actuary, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Fraternal teams. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling with data, solving complex problems, and acting as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders. The Data Analyst is part of Business Technology Data Analytics and collaborates closely with the Data Governance and Data Services teams. This team focuses on ensuring high-quality, trusted data across the enterprise while building reporting, analytics, and insights that support business strategy. The role acts as a bridge between technical data teams and business stakeholders, helping translate data into value. The Data Analyst serves as a liaison between Business Technology and business divisions within WoodmenLife, helping the organization better utilize data and data-driven workflows. This role is responsible for analyzing large datasets, building dashboards and reporting solutions, and providing actionable insights that support decision-making. The Data Analyst also promotes best practices in data governance, improves data quality, and helps drive a data-first culture across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst
  • Experience gathering requirements
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI (or Tableau), Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Translate data findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
  • Support data-driven decision-making across business units

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Present insights to stakeholders through compelling data storytelling
