Data Analyst - MS Dataverse 8-11
About The Position
The client enterprise operates within a complex, multi-platform data environment, utilizing technologies such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server, alongside desktop applications like MS Access and MS Excel. The goal is to establish an enterprise data model to standardize shared data entities and attributes, and to standardize database management systems and tools. Transactional databases and data warehouses will be hosted in Azure, primarily using Microsoft Dataverse and SQL Server. The Senior Data Analyst/Architect will provide analysis and leadership on data analysis projects across the enterprise, offering insights to other data analysts, data architects, and application developers for creating an enterprise data model that meets business and technical requirements. Subject matter expertise in Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS is also required.
Requirements
- 3 Years of experience with Azure Data Factory as an ETL tool.
- 3 Years of experience with MS Dataverse.
- 3 Years of experience with MS SSIS.
- 3 Years of proven track record of solving real world problems using data.
- 3 Years of understanding of different database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server (On-Prem / Azure), DB2, and MS Access.
- 3 Years of excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and technology illustrations.
- 3 Years of understanding of Data Warehousing and data mining.
- 3 Years of understanding of modeling strategies (dimensional, snowflake, relational, unstructured).
- 3 Years of experience designing and delivering data mapping specifications for large reporting platforms.
- 3 Years of writing and maintaining business rules using SQL logic.
- 3 Years of demonstrated experience in writing ad-hoc SQL statements.
- 3 Years of strong interest in playing a technical data steward role across our business and technology partners to understand and detail our data, appropriate.
- 3 Years of proven experience with ERD/Data Modelling tools (Toad or others).
- 3 Years of experience in executing projects in an Agile / Hybrid environment.
- 3 Years of demonstrated technical ability in learning new technologies and adapting to frequent changes in the technical environment.
- 3 Years of experience with data reporting tools (Power BI, others).
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and experience collaborating and influencing across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) with a focus on data analysis, data structures.
Responsibilities
- Provide analysis and leadership on data analysis projects across the client’s enterprise.
