About The Position

Kearney & Company is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team supporting one of the Federal government’s largest agencies. This role involves performing procedures such as data analytics, robotics, and machine learning. The ideal candidate will be able to take and apply training in these areas, learn new programming languages quickly, and demonstrate awareness and knowledge of Federal Government’s financial and management responsibilities. The position also requires assisting in drafting and preparing project deliverables, working effectively in a team environment, communicating with clients and team members, and balancing multiple projects concurrently. Utilizing technology to share knowledge, develop skills, and continually learn is essential. Professionalism and competence in the client’s environment are expected, along with strong digital dexterity, meaning executing work with independence, agility, and effectiveness while embracing technology for better business outcomes. Travel opportunities may be available depending on client needs.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Technology, Cyber Security or related (or other synonym for IT related major)
  • 2 years of Python development experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work in-person 2 days per week in the Alexandria VA area
  • Must have an active Interim U.S. Secret security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
  • Ability to travel at least 25%

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient skills in MS Excel
  • Experience with SharePoint, Oracle, ACL Analytics, PowerBI, and/or Access databases
