About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join a newly established team focused on designing, building, and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions. This team plays a critical role in transforming complex business and financial data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational performance. The Data Analyst will work closely with finance, operations, and business stakeholders to support reporting initiatives, develop dashboards, perform data analysis, and improve reporting processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to develop technical, analytical, and business acumen while learning from experienced team members within a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems with data, and is eager to grow their skills in business intelligence, financial analytics, and data visualization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, finance, reporting, or related analytical roles.
  • Relevant internship, co-op, academic project, or hands-on analytics experience will be considered.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or other business intelligence and data visualization tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Conditional Formatting, Macros and basic automation.
  • Exposure to SQL and relational databases to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and reporting best practices.
  • Experience working with financial, operational, or business performance data is preferred.
  • Exposure to ERP, CRM, or financial systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curious mindset with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with financial reporting or performance management metrics.
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, or business performance analysis.
  • Food service, hospitality, retail, or contract dining industry experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to Power BI DAX, SQL scripting, or data warehouse environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and deployment of business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc reports to support business and financial decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and dashboards.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
  • Support analytics initiatives that help stakeholders better understand operational and financial performance.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain and update databases, reporting structures, and data models.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance activities to ensure data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency through automation.
  • Support the documentation of reporting requirements, data definitions, and analytical methodologies.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and business leaders to understand reporting needs and business challenges.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and team members to optimize existing reporting solutions.
  • Participate in project meetings, requirements gathering sessions, and reporting improvement initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
